The Peninsula Dental Hygienists’ Association is the local component of the Virginia Dental Hygienists’ Association, a non-profit, professional organization of dental hygienists residing in the Hampton Roads area.  Employers:  if you have a dental hygiene possition available and would like to advertise on this page of the PDHA web site please note:

PDHA’s Employment Resource Program  (ERP) offers weekly email list postings of employment opportunities available in the regional area.  Postings are published weekly, on Tuesday, to all dental hygienists accessing the email listing service. We will run the ad for 4 weeks.  Please note that the “fees” are donations for the support of the PDHA component. Thank you for your support!

EMPLOYER:  The responsibility to verify that an individual is licensed to practice in Virginia can be easily fulfilled by going to the Virginia Board of Dentistry websiteat https://secure01.virginiainteractive.org/dhp/cgi-bin/search_publicdb.cgi.  Candidate would have been certified as a graduate in order to obtain a license.  Photocopy of the actual license must be notarized to be legal*  The License should  be campared with a valid picture ID for your records.

D. Duplicate license. Licensees desiring a duplicate license shall submit a request in writing stating the necessity for such duplicate license, accompanied by a fee of $20.
